How? Create a history with random content, add this magical number:O9-F9-ll-O2-9D-74-E3-5B-D8-4l-56-C5-63-56-88-C0 and submit!
Update: Story got from 1 (mine) to 50 Diggs in 3 minutes and them, suddenly, got stuck there and even my own vote got deleted.(I could digg it again and I did). Moderators are watching us?
Update2: Going again (80 Diggs now) and I can vote again! It is showing I can digg it again, but now, when I do it, a Javascript message pops up saying I already voted… curious.
Update3: Digg servers failing hard and results shown from one server and them the other, making it difficult to figure it out the total votes. (My story is showing 1, then 49, then 91, then back to 4) It reminds me of the famous IRC netsplit when half people where left on one server and half on the other. I wonder if Digg as vulnerable to this as Moderators were back then.
Update4: Most new stories on this issue, including mine, are topping at 100 votes. I guess it must be the last step before getting ”popular”, and someone is avoiding it, unless the number of votes is so overwhelming that the promote to popular trigger is not needed and stories get auto-promoted to popular. This has been nice to learn how Digg works.
Update5: Digg down. Over and out.
You are being watched by the MAFIAA.
That’s the spirit!
