Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ve already heard the new trend on the 2.0 web are tumblelog or microblogs.

As wikipedia puts it: A tumblelog is a variation of a blog, that favors short-form, mixed-media posts over the longer editorial posts frequently associated with blogging. Common post formats found on tumblelogs include links, photos, quotes, dialogues, and video. Unlike blogs, this format is frequently used to share the author’s creations, discoveries, or experiences without providing a commentary.

There’s also an open-source solution called GelatoCMS. But what has this to do with domains hacking, you may ask?

The wordpress.com equivalent of this new trend is tumblr.com and what I discovered is that, just like blogger, tumblr subdomains are IDN compatible!

What this means is that you get almost ALL those top keywords as IDNKeyWord.tumblr.com and YOU KNOW this is useful right?

Remember, you read it here first. I hate those MakeMoneyOnline blogs where they have the absolute opposite idea of what a great tech blog should be: instead of “I found this great stuff, let me blog about it”, they wake up in the morning and think: “damn, what will write about today? Let me sneak around to see if I find something to copy-cat”

Just for sharing… skyrock.com and skyblog.com are IDN compatible. Gets even better if you know a little french… skyblog has a french version and top accounts like lets say “decoration” would actually be written in french : décoration.

Ranks really awesome in Google, but Marco (guy that owns tumblr) is a dick.

They delete accounts / sites like crazy. Even sites with no monetization on them at all.

Weebly.com is much better…doesn’t rank as high but its comparable.
